Student Wellness Support
Best Intentions Wellness partners with schools to help students understand their emotions, navigate stress, and build supportive relationships. Programming connects social-emotional learning with practical experiences students can apply in the classroom, with peers, and beyond school.
Sessions are designed to support the five areas of the CASEL framework: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Activities are adapted to students’ developmental needs and the priorities identified by your school.
Small-Group Wellness Support
Provide students with a consistent space to practice skills, build connections, and receive support throughout the school year or for a designated term.
Recurring groups offer opportunities to revisit strategies, reflect on real-life situations, and build on learning over time. Topics may include recognizing emotions and stress signals, managing frustration, navigating friendships, communicating needs, and making thoughtful choices.
Groups can complement your school’s existing SEL programming by providing additional guided practice and opportunities to strengthen students’ connection to peers and supportive adults.
Wellness Workshops
Introduce or reinforce wellness skills through a one-time workshop or a connected series. Sessions combine accessible mental health education with guided reflection, discussion, and experiential activities.
Topics may include:
-
Emotional awareness and regulation.
-
Coping with stress and understanding the mind–body connection.
-
Mindfulness, grounding, and asking for support.
-
Healthy relationships, communication, and conflict navigation.
-
Growth mindset and responding to setbacks.
-
Mental health and movement.
A single workshop can introduce a focused topic, while a series allows students to revisit concepts, practice strategies, and reflect on their use between sessions.
Staff Professional Development
Support the people who support your students. One-time workshops or connected series combine mental health education, guided reflection, and practical activities to help staff care for their wellbeing and strengthen their approach to supporting students.
Topics may include:
-
Recognizing stress and early signs of burnout.
-
Sustainable self-care and healthy boundaries.
-
Trauma-informed practices and understanding student stress responses.
-
Emotional regulation, mindfulness, and grounding.
-
Mind–body strategies for navigating challenging moments.
-
Staff connection, communication, and mutual support.
